The Gospel is a Love Message ARTICLE

The Gospel is a Love Message. Without Love, it cannot exist, and it bears no relevance to its Author!

It’s the story of God creating mankind in His Love and loving them in His Garden. It’s also the story of God sacrificing to restore man through the Love-gift of His Son after he had fallen. It’s the story of a God that would not rest before every separation was removed that would keep mankind from knowing His Presence and walking in His Love; and the story of Him pouring His Love-flame into the hearts of 120 men and women, for them to carry the Fire of His Love into all the world and to all mankind!

2 Corinthians 5:19-21

It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling (to change, exchange, to reconcile those who are at variance), return to favour with, be reconciled to one), not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

God was IN Christ, reconciling (reuniting mankind in) the world unto Himself (He brought men and women back into their eternal destiny by showcasing or expressing His Love (Person in His Character, Personality, and Nature) through Christ.

Christ was the exact expression of the Father (Where would God have to be in order to reconcile the world to Himself through us?

IN us of course!

In order for us to carry His Love Message into the world, we have to have His Love-flame ignited in us!

When each of us will allow God to so saturate us with His Love as Christ was, then we, as individuals fully saturated with His Love, can ignite the Flame of His Love burning in us, in others also! And being brought into harmony with Him to become One with Him by His Love, we can also be brought together in Union with another through His Love!

Any relationship that is to be in a Union with God, and with another, in harmony with God, can only come in such a Union when all the parties have individually surrendered themselves to be fully filled with God’s Love.

When each of us is fully brought into Union with God by being filled with His Love (His Person, Presence, Nature, and Character), we will be united with each other in His Love.

Whether a marriage of union, or a union between Christian brothers and sisters, if that Union is to be made in God, each party has to come into Union with God individually, before they will be in unity with another, and live in harmony with each other.

When people are so filled with God in His Love, we see the expression of the Holy Spirit through them bearing the fruit of Union as we see it evidenced in the Book of Acts chapter four. Straight after the disciples were saturated with God’s Spirit and His Love-flame in the upper room, they came into a perfect harmony with each other. They were One with God, filled with His Love, and the Love-fire that consumed each of them caused them to be in unity and harmony with another, as they freely expressed Christ’s Love among each other.
